San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery on Grove Street: Untitled (This is a metaphor, No. 3) - Jeremy Mende.
Review by RWM: This flailing replica of a cartoon man will be shaking in the wind for three months. He's on a timer and not stylishly dancing in the breezes here. You and he can flow with modern and troubled times as you cross Van Ness to the Civic Center. It is not fun to feel this way, but many of us are going through tough times in the recent economic down turn.
Comment by AB: A poor unfortunate bent over inflatable advertising man with a painted on "saddy face" is trapped and struggling to be free (aren't we all?). All the while a digital timer ticks away. Our tax dollars at work. Is there a curator in the house? Next.
