San Francisco Art Openings: Culture Cache Gallery

CULTURE CACHE GALLERY: 4 WORDS, THE BOOK, A VISUAL JOURNEY
OPENING 05.20.04

Comment: I like these artists; they just keep bangin' away. They work hard, make art, and then get it out there for people to see. This time, it's a book release. The book's $35 bucks, and it's a survey of recent work by the four of them, hence the title 4 Words (see how it all fits together?). Anyway, you folks who like their art must always remember that in order for an artist to survive as an artist, he or she must occasionally sell art. And you artists must always remember that for every folk who likes your art, regardless of that folk's budget, you must always have something to sell them (through your dealers, of course), something you're proud of (no quickies you'll regret selling later). Your art is your business card, your billboard; the more people see it, the more times they see it, the more art you sell. That simple. Pardon the sermon.

Artist/Artists: David Choong Lee, Damon Soule, NOME Edonna, Mars (Mario Martinez).
