Comment by AB: According to the fact sheet, Rhodes & Fletcher is a "Wealthcoach" in the business of "building financial well-being," which sure sounds good to me, especially these days. Principals Pamela Rhodes and Sean Fletcher also happen to really like art, and they also happen to make art (you might even call 'em artists). Anyway, the firm holds periodic art events at their downtown offices and this time around, Sarah Klein curates a group show about food, featuring a live cooking demonstration by Mario Maggi (Executive Chef of Credo Restaurant), food-related art, and food (duh). And it's a good show too.

Note to opulent artsters and art aficionados-- I suppose if you have piles of languishing cash lying around that you don't know what to do with, you might give Rhodes & Fletcher and solicit their input on the matter. At the very least, you know they speak your language.

Comment by AB: Sketch Tuesdays has evolved into a gathering place for artists-- from aspiring to established-- to make art live, right before your eyes, and then sell it for ridiculously affordable prices on a first-come first-served basis. The event is always packed with artists, their fans, and savvy collectors out looking for bargains. Plus there's tunes, libations, mingling, fraternizing, shoulder rubbing, and a perfect opportunity to annoy your favorite artists with all kinds of cockamamie questions about their art. Yo!
