Comment: Margaret Wall-Romana paints plant and garden elements over abstract foundations so skillfully that the two coexist in perfect harmony. Even so, you still on some level attempt to resolve the interweave one way or the other, striving in your mind for either pure abstract or pure garden. But that's not to be, so you end up filling in the blanks, in a sense collaborating with the artist, creating your own imaginary realities. The paint is delicately layered with fine free-flowing motion; each painting painted on several panels that have been joined together. And they're some of the best art I've seen at Bucheon.
