Comment: National Product gets my vote for best affordable art gallery in San Francisco. The criteria by which contestans are judged are as follows-- the art is cheap and good. Bill Zindel's slick errorless mixed media collages, modern with 1950's and 1960's overtones, combine cut/paste, printmaking, and painting (he has to have an impressive vintage magazine file to get so many classic images). Most of his small pieces set you back only a measly 40 bucks, while the big ones top out at $300. I'd like to see him try some larger compositions. If he can maintain the current levels of drama, density, and order, but significantly ramp up the complexity, things could get interesting.
