Comment: Aqua Art Miami is a new alternative art fair in its second year organized by Seattle artists and dealers. This intimate fair features 40 contemporary art galleries from the US and Canada, with an emphasis on West Coast galleries and emerging artists.

Comment: PULSE presents over 60 galleries, in a program where international galleries and U.S. galleries are equally represented. The fair features a curated contemporary art program with emerging and established artists from around the world invited by a committee of arts professionals. PULSE is intended to bridge the gap between established and alternative art fairs.

In the director's words, "The goal of PULSE is to establish a global as well as local cultural partnership with young gallerists, dealers, and collectors, while engaging an audience of art patrons, enthusiasts, critics, curators and academics through the presentation of new artistic trends and exhibition concepts." The art fair also includes a special "Impulse" section consisting of younger galleries.
