Anglim Gilbert Gallery : Catherine Wagner - Rome Works.

Review by Kathryn Arnold: Catherine Wagner presents such new ways to view classical works, sometimes in containers at other times perfect poetic yet rational symmetrical arrangements. Seeing Constantine all boxed up like this is incredible, as is seeing the Dying Gaul in a crate.

Comment by AB: Good show worth seeing.

Dolby Chadwick Gallery : Guy Diehl - A Dialogue with Tradition II.

Review by Kathryn Arnold: Crisp clean precision. Guy Diehl pays homage to past artistic traditions while creating at the same time his own independent studies of light, shadow and interplay upon solid forms and open spaces.

Comment by AB: Always excellent. Stop on by

Modernism Gallery : Patti Oleon - Another Way Around; Mel Ramos - Prince and Sculptures, 1970-2015.

Review by Kathryn Arnold: Two distinctly different artists share the exhibition space. Mel Ramos positions playfully posed figures in multitudes of settings and Patti Oleon reconfigures architectural spaces in ways that amaze, creating unbelievable (yet believable) points of view.

Comment by AB: Social, political, migratory, displacement and contraband matters are all aspects of this thought-provoking show. Good art all the way around.

Caldwell Snyder Gallery : Paul Balmer - Changing Perspective.

Review by Kathryn Arnold: Very cool exhibition. Balmer paints recollected scenes from his imagination making the works truly his own. Inventive spaces and radical perspectives come together in a cluster of still lifes and cityscapes.

Sandra Lee Gallery : Sandy Young - Perceptions of Time.

Review and image c/o Cathryn Arnold: A layer of glass overlays these works in unusual shapes creating a metaphor with how we look back in time. These apparent assemblages are nonetheless not extremely heavy in intent, keeping that delicate persona of the underlying memory afloat.
