Comment by AB: Equilateral is a triangle where all sides are equal. So according to the spec sheet, what we've got here are three artists, each of whom assesses the situation from a different perspective (equally, I assume)-- Michelle Blade appraises the supernatural, Ana Fern?ndez encapsulates the corporeal, and Julie Rofman cogitates on the physical.

Ampersand International Arts : ?Andy Vogt?and?Jeff Morris - Aftermath and Scrap.
Comment by AB: Jeff Morris makes art about lines, covering pretty much the entire continuum from rigorous precision consecutive straight-line pencil drawings to curved, almost random, line-based sculptural works. His sculptures appear to be constructed from discarded remnants. Andy Vogt, meanwhile, "repurposes" plaster lath and other salvaged wood into adept abstract sculptures. You might call 'em "resolute ruins." Vogt tops those off with several complementary works on paper.

Comment by AB: Satisfying expressionist abstracts by Maxine Solomon in the classic tradition. Solomon's combinations of paint and glaze give her paintings a rich vintage feel.

Comment by AB: Dan Nelson's entertaining and informative video and installation, "140 Ways to Make a Cassette Unlistenable" doesn't seem to leave any option out. Methodologies include saw, epoxy, padlock, dropping it down a sewer, hammer, baking it into bread, and many more. For all you wannabees out there, a complete list is available at the gallery. Jim Haynes visual and sound installation, "Every Island Fled Away and the Mountains Could Not Be Found," has to do with vibration, undulation, and corrosion. And Simon Proffitt and owen Martell's "Parallel Wales" project features an engaging video survey of rural and suburban Pennsylvania, Deleware and Maryland locations with Welsh-originated names.
