Togonon Gallery : Leo Valledor - Play It by Eye; George Condo - More Sketches of Spain, For Miles Davis, Etchings/Aquatints.

Review by RWM: Controlled geometric abstractions with wild contrasting colors by Leo Valledor. Interesting graphics of abstracted females by George Condo; you've surely seen renditions like this before by more famous makers. Quality art here for those who seek the best.

Adobe Books Backroom Gallery : Keep It Cherried - Michelle Guintu and Joe Roberts.

Review by RWM: Seems like Happy Halloween here from artists who are sharing in the fun... and perhaps a reminder that we are all part of Ray Bradbury's Halloween Tree. Creepy crawlies and lots more for anyone in search of a good time.

Comment by AB: Flagrant pop culture renditions by Michelle Guintu are mostly $50 and under-- certainly worth the ante. Confluences of objects by Joe Roberts have meanings on many levels to be sure.

Queens Nails Projects : Cheap Trick Part 2 - Jonah Susskind and Zefrey Throwell.

Comment by AB: Nothing is what it seems in this choice trompe l'oeil smorgasbord from Jonah Susskind including bogus sandpaper, a pseudo redwood chainsaw sculpture (actually styrofoam), fake weed, phony wood, an illusionary oriental rug and more. All excellent. Yet another compelling reminder that cognitive construct is nothing without the technical skills to back it up. This one's a winner; definitely recommended.

In the rear gallery, Zefrey Throwell shares his curious adventures in video. For those of you keeping score at home, he does take his clothes off.
