Comment: Carrie Lederer's surreally abstract meditative botanical whimsy art is looking mighty sharp lately. I just got finished getting drippy over her installation at The LAB last week and here she goes again. Lederer makes all kinds of stuff-- paintings, watercolors, drawings, installations, faux flower arrangements incorporating tennis balls, thing piles, hanging oddities, painted lighting, and more. So you got good art, attention to detail, competence, confidence, visual appeal, versatility, diverse unity of theme, vision, reasonable prices. Let's see, did I leave anything out? Just this, I guess-- somebody give her a solo already. (I mean another-- someone corrected me-- she had one in 2004 at Ruth Braunstein.)
