Dogpatch Cafe : Ghost Bike - A Photographic Journey by Genea Barnes.
Comment by AB: "Ghost bikes" memorialize riders who have lost their lives in bicycle accidents. Some of the images in this show are of actual memorials; others are digitally enhanced with photographic "apparitions" to remind viewers that precious human lives have been lost. Every year, over 600 cyclists lose their lives in accidents and over 50,000 more are injured. Let's do what we can to keep each other safe.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art at The Chapel : 2012 SECA Art Award Opening.
Comment by AB: Tonight's wingding is in honor of the 2012 SECA (Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art) Art Award winners, Zarouhie Abdalian, Josh Faught, Jonn Herschend and David Wilson, and celebrates the opening of their exhibitions. For the first time in the award's history, the artists will create work outside of the museum setting. Visit the SFMOMA website for details and locations.
