Performance Art Institute : Monika Lin - Tenthousand.

Comment by AB: As a meditative undertaking, Monika Lin writes the Chinese character for rice 10,000 times and displays the upshot of that endeavor tonight. This particular number is significant to the Chinese people as being symbolic of infinity and eternity.

UGallery : Gregor Hochmuth and Philippe Jestin.

Comment by AB: Photography by Instagram engineer Gregor Hochmuth and resin works by French artist Philippe Jestin. UGallery appears to be a website specializing in affordable art, this space being the bricks & mortar manifestation of that.

The Shooting Gallery : Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda - Peter Gronquist. Review by RWM: Once wild animals, now on the walls. Are they or the hunters on the defensive? One will be shocked by the contrasts and contradictions, the animal horns turned into guns-- but they really need them. Surprising to see animals on display like this in San Francisco. Interesting symbols and statements nonetheless.

Comment by AB: Animals sprout and sport automatic weapons, and pop icons run amok in the berserk world of Peter Gronquist. Madness, chaos and catastrophe are clearly only a moment away. Good stuff; check it out.
