Comment by AB: Members of the Asian American Women Artists Association (AAWAA) present art that's themed around the idea of bringing Asian Americans closer to Asians living in America. Some of this art has been shown at other shows, by the way-- shows that weren't themed on this topic. I'm not a big fan of recalibrating the same art to fit different contexts.

San Francisco Art Exchange : Marilyn - Intimate Exposures, Images by Hollywood's Great Glamour Photographer Bruno Bernard.
Comment by AB: Bruno Bernard (aka Bernard of Hollywood) first photographed Norma Jean Dougherty in the summer of 1946, a young model who dreamed of perhaps someday becoming an actress. Of course, Norma Jean was soon to become Marilyn Monroe, one of the most glamorous movie stars of all time. Bernard photographed her many times over the following sixteen years, the images on exhibit here taken from this remarkable archive.
