Andrea Schwartz Gallery : Love And War - Donald Bradford.
Comment by AB: Donald Bradford's art is all about marriage. He's more than qualified to weigh in on the institution seeing as his family owned a wedding chapel and that's what he grew up with. But he's broadening the topic to include-- you guessed it-- same sex marriages. Oh my! How radical. But the punch line is that he painted it all before that dumb-ass Prop 8 was overturned-- which makes the dealie-bob all the more poignant (and renders the art all the more collectable). Not quite sure how the mail stack still-lifes fit in, but they're really good too, so who cares? Worth seeing; check it out.
