Comment by AB: Not sure what the commonality is here 'cuz the show statement's convoluted inside-the-artway babble's got me stymied. Plus the title is a music word, not an art one. True, the word chromatic relates to color or colors, but when you stretch it, it's bye-bye art and hello music-- unless they really mean "chromaticismisitousness" which is an art word. But hey-- all this brain strain doesn't stop me from enjoying myself... and taking solace in the certainty that the select agglomeration presented here is doubtlessly about something. Not so fast, my lovelies... there's more. Call me a nitpicker, but when you read the blurb for each artist on the gallery's website and still can't tell who did what, then the descriptives deserve revisiting.

Review by Clare Coppel: Many reasonably priced posters with subjects ranging from "sushi" made out of candy, nudes, political statements, to "I love Hip Hop." In an interesting space.
Review by RWM: So many cartoon and animated figures by independent artists, but the work seems to be for adults and young adults in spite of that. Iconic players having fun on the walls.

Center for Sex and Culture : Elizabeth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle - Ecosex Manifesto Art Exhibit.
Review by RWM: Ecosexuals, i.e. those who treat the Earth as a lover instead of a mother, gather together for unification and to intellectualize on the matter. The Earth may not appreciate all the things that happen South of Market, but this one happening on Mission Street is likely OK. Most positions appreciated, but we all also know that to each his or her own; not everybody wants to try everything. The Earth inspires all sorts of emotions and the assembled share the desire to give back. The art presented is at times melancholy, and infused with concern and sometimes naughtiness. Have questions? So do some of the scholars in attendance. The official organizational website SexEcology will likely answer many of those.
