Rena Bransten Gallery : Jun Kaneko.

Comment by AB: Paintings, drawings and massive ceramic sculptures by Jun Kaneko. He's exhibiting here in conjunction with San Francisco Opera's performance of Mozart's The Magic Flute for which he did the set design and costumes. Born and raised in Japan, he currently lives and works in Omaha, Nebraska.

    Highlight Gallery : Nick Ervinck - GNI-RI JUN2012.

Comment by AB: Belgian artist Nick Ervinck's organic high-gloss painted polyester sculptures are entirely created from digital drawings and sketches. They're visual treasure troves once you get to looking. You'll see everything from Rorschach inkblots and skeletal structures to undersea creatures. Most all the art's in shades of orange and yellow... including the artist.
