Comment by AB: Intricate cut paper works by Tahiti Pehrson in both two and three dimensions come pretty close to geometric perfection. Not easy to photograph the detail of these artworks; you really have to see them in person.

Hosfelt Gallery : Tender Mahal, Lifted - Rina Banerjee; Code Switch - Lordy Rodriguez.
Comment by AB: The centerpiece of Rina Banerjee's debut show at Hosfelt Gallery is a rendition of the Taj Mahal suspended several feet above the floor, composed of bright pink translucent plastic sheets adhered to metal framing, the structure housing a curious array of baubles and found objects. A selection of cryptic free-flowing watercolors, likely with specific symbolic meanings, is also on display.
In the back gallery, Lordy Rodriguez presents circuitous map-like configurations, fantastical imaginary lands delineated by orderly patterns and colorific diagrammatic designs. Worth a visit on both counts.
