Comment by AB: A rousing artistic tribute to Mexican professional wrestling and all that it signifies socially, culturally, politically and historically. Opening night festivities include an appearance by the famed luchador (wrestler) Mil Máscaras, and a live "mini-match" in the theater titled KKK vs BLACK PANTHERS, which I unfortunately missed (I heard it was good).

Comment by AB: The Headlands annual benefit art auction is probably my favorite such fundraiser of the year-- the people, the art, the atmosphere, the excitement, the Sloppy Joes-- everything. You can always count on a terrific selection of art to bid on at both live and silent auctions, plus on this year's docket, the auction item to end all auction items-- a weekend for you and six of you closest cronies in Marfa, Texas, including the finest in dining, tours and accommodations, and to top it all off, round trip travel on a private jet. Sold for around $35000 if I recall correctly. (Note to auctioneer-- go easy on the shush admonitions.) What a night!
