Comment by AB: Galleries from across the country and around the world converge on San Francisco this weekend to participate in three major art fairs. That's right-- there's more art than you can shake a stick at... much more. So go easy, pace yourself, find something you love and buy, buy, buy. Why? Because we want three major art fairs here in San Francisco once per year. And we want them to be successful. The more successful they are, the more seriously people from outside the city limits will consider San Francisco as a major cultural contender in this country (and perhaps even the world), one with an incredibly vibrant and diverse art scene, tons of talented artists and loads of great galleries, or in other words, an art destination worth adding to their shopping lists. We who live here all know this is true, but the rest of the country wants proof, aka three successful art fairs once per year. It's precisely that simple and no more complicated.
