Comment by AB: Primarily proactive politically-leaning installation works by a diverse and eminently involved selection of women artists, much of it collaborative and coalition-building in nature. You'll find plenty of references to feminist and activist movements of the past combined with assessments of the present, and looks to the future. There's lots of quality stand-alone works of art to enjoy as well (if you wanna take 'em out of their respective contexts, that is), but it's mainly an educational endeavor intended to make you think, reflect, and perhaps ultimately act, so bring your brain and be prepared to use it. Later, in her spare time, she decided to create her own pieces of art.? What's striking about her paintings are the hairstyles, all luscious and pushed up as if supported by currents of water.? This sets her paintings apart from others in the same genre by giving her slight, melancholy, female figures an alluring strength.?
