Hosfelt Gallery : Emil Lukas - Ringing of Distant Events.

Review by RWM: Some of this work has a way of entering your psyche regardless of how discerning your eye. Certain abstract works can be disturbing... and right for a disturbing time. You can imagine them as bullet wounds. These sculptural affects give depth and dimension. Other compositions almost seem alive, and close examination reveals elements that look like they're moving beyond the canvas and toward the walls. Wonderful experience for those who wish to be challenged with the meaning instead of raw emotions.

Comment by AB: Good show; go see. Engaging abstractions all the way around, a number with demensionality you don't normally see.

Mirus Gallery : Body of Land - Alexandra Levasseur.

Review by RWM: The works are hard to categorize or define by style, and open to interpretation. They border on abstract, symbolic and representational. You can assign them your own narratives. The blending colors are not always pleasant and some of the characters in these stories don't appear very happy. Great work however that keeps one wondering what it is all about, and that is one of its gifts.
