Comment by AB: Katherine Westerhout continues her quest to document the ruins of an America that was once great. The seemingly phosphorescent paintings of Tom Bolles are as much about light as they are about form, perhaps even more so.

Review by RWM: Nayland Blake sculpture you can look through. Will you discover the contents of the mind that's behind them? Or will you have to look deeper? Also revel in Carter's unusual concepts of portrature.

Comment by AB: Transit the distant edges of art here. Nayland Blake's ably adept at making something outta nothing. He's got just enough works on display for viewers to cipher the gist of his lingo. In the side gallery, luxuriate in Carter's intriguing marbly abstractions, but watch out-- his oogly-eyed sculptures are sure to give you the willies. Stop on by and stretch your mind.

Laurent Studio : Alexis Laurent.

Comment by AB: Tonight's opening is as much about the art of Alexis Laurent as it is about his 13,000 square foot studio which he's bedecked with paintings, sculptures and installations, and is presenting as a rental space for large group functions and events. Live plants and foliage integrated into the art enhance the atmosphere with a warm and intimate feel. Need oversized sculpture, either indoor or out? You might consider Laurent for the job. And he has an impressive design sense too. Check it out; this dude's got the aesthetic eye.
