The LAB : Michael Ryan - Mere Reflections.
Comment by AB: Michael Ryan calls our attention to all the plastic crap that our exciting new purchases come packaged in, memoralizing them in somber black-backdrop paintings and stark plaster casts. After making our precious purchases, we immediately proceed to throw these extraneous materials away, not thinking for an instant about what impact they might have on our environment. In other words, think about it, and maybe one day even do something about it... before it's too late, that is, because if we keep going the way we're going now, one day it will be too late. Kinda like it; stop on by.

Aspect Art Gallery : Mark Waltrous-Heyliger - Surrealist Painter.
Review by RWM: Some great ocean horizon pictures in a show that's boldly colorful. Nice pictures of the outdoors with startling compositions. Nice to see a questioning smiler on the horizon as one faces one oceanscape. Other works are harder to categorize.
