Book & Job Gallery : Voyage - New Works by Cameron Thompson.

Review by RWM: Beautiful pictures of birds are included in some of these design schemes. One can get lost in Cameron Thompson's works which can take one on a artful and personal voyage. Birds remind that we have choices and we can choose to be elsewhere. Great show, nice selection of them as totem and muse, and to see them in the colorful designs. They are looking at you also.

Comment by AB: Cameron Thompson's vibrant patterned paintings and prints reference nature, the environment and the spiritual encounters we all have as we wend our way though life.

Art Primo SF : Zipgun For Life - Dan Zipgun.

Review by RWM: Want to do graffiti? Want help with a mural? Great place to go here. The artist has also gone graffiti wild in the back room including a great installation of a bathroom.

ArtPoint at the de Young Museum: Annual Valentine's Gala and Fundraiser.

Comment by AB: ArtPoint, the Young Professional's group at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, celebrates the season of love and romance with a gala after-hours fundraiser at the de Young Museum. Options include food, drinks, dance, access to museum exhibitions and more. My favorite quote of the night, "Where's the girl?" is overheard while at the exhibition of Dutch paintings from the Mauritshuis, of course referencing Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring" currently on display at the museum. ArtPoint parties are always exhilarating, entertaining and packed with oodles of peppy people.
