The Peanut Gallery : We Were Meant to Be - Ana Belén Canton, Kit Yi Wong, and Carissa Potter.

Comment by AB: Of note here-- Carissa Potter's sensitive heartrending disquisition on the inner workings of a failed relationship.

Mission Comics and Art : Josh Ellingson - All the Best.

Comment by AB: Rare to find an artist (aka Josh Ellingson) who's accomplished at both traditional painting and digital media. Here you can see some of Ellingson's digital commercial work as well as series of paintings that recall childhood memories and early family life, and smaller set sourced from classic comic illustration. Nicely done all the way around.

Galeria de la Raza : Artemio Narro - Hollywoodpedia.

Comment by AB: Mexico City artist Artemio Narro extracts zillions of snippets from various Hollywood films, sorts them into categories like love, death, sadness, suffering and war, and then splices them into narratives on each of those topics, here playing in continuous loops on a line of TV monitors. Well done! Stop by and experience the upshot for yourself.

    Inclusions Gallery : Expanded Works.

Artists: Colette Crutcher, Joshua Burbank, Susan Garry-Lorica, Richard Nyhagen.

Review by Anna Seven, image c/o Inclusions Gallery: Inclusions Gallery is a boutique style venue with two or three jewelry stands, handmade purses and lots of other similar stuff. One of the main goals of this gallery is to be a part of the Bernal Heights community, and as a result, most merchandise is made by local artists. It's one of the treasure hunt places where you might suddenly find something you've dreamed about all your life without ever expecting to own it. The exhibition has a very positive impact on me; all works are chosen with care and elegant style. White and grey works on found ocean-washed wooden boards, glazed ceramics made in enchanted fairytale style, black and white nostalgic photographic works and mixed media pieces (including well-disguised collages combined with painting that remind me of hot terracotta with their colorific appearance). I like the portraits by Joshua Burbank in fire-mixed sienna. All works represented by the gallery are perfectly suited to this cozy place. My respect to the owner.

The Shooting Gallery : Solid Cold - New Works by Antistrot.

Artists: Bruno Ferro Xavier Da Silva, Marco Kruyt, Michiel Ladrave, Paul Borchers, Silas Schletterer, Johan Kleinjan.

Review by RWM: The images, tropes, and symbols have one spinning with their varied changing meanings. One need plant their feet firmly on the ground in order not to get carried away in their drift. The eclectic works display impressive detail. The ideas work together in imaginative bubbling collages of images.

Comment by AB: Top shelf twisted. Slither by and get your naughty on.
