Oakland Art Murmur : First Friday Art Walk.
Review and images by Julia Sievert: A popular art street festival where people come together to celebrate, enjoy and create. On the first Friday of every month, Oakland Art Murmur fills Telegraph Avenue and its side streets with paintings, drawings, sculptures, graffiti, prints and handmade jewelry. The collaborating galleries are located in Uptown, Midtown/ Old Oakland and Jack London Square. But it's not just the galleries and their artists who have a lot to offer with their variety of different art movements-- it's much more the mix of people, live music, food trucks... the whole atmosphere and vibe that inspires.
