General comment by AB: I'm under the weather today and take a rare night off. Marian Ferrara is kind enough to shoot three shows for me though, so January 25th isn't a dearth on my docket. Sorry to miss your event; I'll be there next time.

Comment by AB: According to the fact sheet, the art is "an exploration of metaphoric forms steeped in the intricacies of personal narrative," but then mysteriously, as if it realizes that phrase means basically nothing (or anything), it cans the bombast and proceeds to explain the art in plain English. The works in the show are expressions of what the participating artists think about, feel, or associate with when they hear the word "Grandma." Either it's that simple and no more complicated, or it's that complicated and no more simple. I prefer the former.
