Park Life : Cy Twombly Death's Head - Louis M Schmidt.

Comment by AB: The artist's obsession with "death heads" translates into a visual disquisition on artists (particularly famous ones), creative inspiration, homage, critical assessments, and art history in general.

Tyler Wood Gallery : Takming Chuang - Index.

Comment by AB: According to my interpretation of the liner notes, Takming Chuang explores the temporal nature of existence both during life and beyond by focusing particularly on physical manifestations of changes to the human body. Comprehending the cognitive component would seem requisite in order to make any progress with the art.

SF Camerawork : 75 Years of Photography from City College of San Francisco.

Review by Anna Rotty: 75 years of work by former students and faculty of City College of San Francisco line the walls of SF Camerawork for this truly special exhibit. I can't say that I've seen a group exhibit this strong before. Although each photograph varies in process, subject, concept and time, the collection of work certainly looks like a group that belongs together. Being new to the city, I really enjoy seeing through the lens of so many talented people who are creating, learning and teaching here in San Francisco.

Roll Up Gallery : Space Stories.

Artists: Sarah Ratchye, Lynette Cook, Kimberly Gerard, Lindsey Millikan, Jack Taylor, Alexis Amann.

Review by RWM: There is life in the universe, at least here at this show. In this case it is quirky and strange; odd and unexpected. In a word-- alien. Not sure what one is supposed to be looking for out there, but one might find something to consider and think about here. The works presented are usually funny science fiction, but there are also profound messages. The discovery of life elsewhere might be the biggest scientific discovery ever. It is great that some artists also want to be present for the breakthrough, hopefully without confrontation.

Comment by AB: Artists extend their visions beyond the terrestrial as they postulate the possibility of art on other planets.
